About Dave

Dave is currently based in Denver, CO working with a mix of contract/freelance clients.

Dave hit the ground running during his year of study at CMCI Studio (formally BDW), a project-based, experience design master’s program at CU Boulder. The courses took a human-centered approach and focused on all steps of the design process. Over the course of the program he collaborated with a portfolio of outdoor recreation and education clients to deliver improved experiences and engagement.

Previously Dave used his undergrad degree in communications design working on branding and production work both full time and as a freelance practice. After graphic design work slowed down for him he took an opportunity to work in the behavior health field as a counselor in the children’s eating disorder field. During this time he employed design practices and methodologies into the program. After sometime in this field he decided to pivot back into the design field full time taking with him his gained experience in behavior health.

When not pushing pixels, Dave likes to “gets inky” printing in his letterpress studio Black Beetle Press. He also enjoys getting lost in new cities, opting outside, film photography, and is always down to grab a cup of coffee.
